Day 01: Arrive Cochin
On your arrival at the Cochin Airport our representative will receive you and take to the hotel. Feel at leisure in the evening when you relax yourself in this picturesque ‘port city’. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Cochin Tour
Set out on sightseeing in Cochin. Your itinerary here will include places like Fort Cochin, still keeping alive its ancient Jew tradition, the Santa Cruz Basilica, Mattancherry palace, St. Francis Church and more. The Jew’s street and the Chinese fishing nets at Fort Cochin beach are the must see. Return to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Cochin – Thekkady / Periyar
After breakfast check out from the home stay and drive to Thekkady (190 km – 6 hours drive) on arrival check into the hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay is arranged in Periyar.
Day 04: Thekkady / Periyar
After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady – one of the world’s most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its Geo-morphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit and Elephant Ride can be done at an extra cost. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.
Day 05: Thekkady / Periyar /Gavi
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Gavi. Spread across the beauty of Periyar Tiger Reserve, Gavi is a quiet, beautiful and pristine forest haven. It is at 3400 ft above MSL. These evergreen forests are abundant with magnificent Wildlife including the tiger, elephants, leopards, bears, Indian gaur, Sambar, barking & Mouse deers, lion tailed macaque, other varieties of monkeys, Nilgiri Marten and a lot more. Enjoy the trekking with experienced guides. Overnight stay is arranged at Gavi.
Day 06: Thekkady – Kumarakom
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom. Check in to the hotel. Afternoon proceeds for local sightseeing in and around Kumarakom – a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. The stretch of backwater is spread over 900 sq. km. Choose a canoe, motor boat or a houseboat and devour the beauty of this backwater paradise at its best. Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.
Day 07: Kumarakom – Alleppey (Overnight Houseboat)
Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual – skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. Food will be served on board. Overnight stay in the houseboat
Day 08: Alleppey – Mararikulam / Alleppey
After a refreshing breakfast served on board, check out from the houseboat and drive to Mararikulam. Up on arrival; check in to a beach resort. Overnight is to be spent at hotel.
Day 09 & 10: Mararikulam / Alleppey
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing in and around Mararikulam – Marari offers endless miles of superb sand beaches flanked with swaying palms, where you can experience the local charm and the traditional Kerala Hospitality at its best. Overnight stay is arranged.
Day 11: Mararikulam / Alleppey – Cochin Departure
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Cochin airport for your flight back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the “God’s Own Country”.
Hotel accommodation on a twin sharing basis.
Breakfast as per hotels’ menu.
All transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary in a non air-conditioned vehicle.
All toll tax, parking fees and driver’s allowances.
All applicable hotel taxes.
Anything not mentioned under ‘Package Inclusions’
All personal expenses, optional tours and extra meals.
Camera fees, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and starters.
Vehicle service on leisure days for sightseeing not included in the itinerary.
Medical and travel insurance.
For all the services contracted, minimum 10% advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before 30 days from commencement of the services. However Festal Tours have right to amend advance amount and payment of balance amount and time of payment
In the event of cancellation of tour / services due to any reason/s we must be informed of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Total Package cost
45 days prior to arrival: 15% of the Total Package cost
15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Total Package cost
07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Total Package cost
Less than 7 days from start of service or No Show: No Refund
Some cancellation and refund policies are out of our tender:
Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy
Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy
Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy
In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Our Liabilities & Limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Law & Jurisdiction
For all complaints, suits, claims or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by Festal Tours, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of Court of Bilaspur (CG).
