DAY 1: GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (100 KM / 3 HRS)
Welcome on arrival in Guwahati & transfer to Shillong. Enroute visit Borapani Lake. Umiam Lake or Barapani – is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. It offers an incredible experience of sailing, water skiing, water scooter & other water sports activities in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. Enjoy water activities in Barapani Lake (activities at additional expenses). Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 2: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG (60 km / 1.5 HRS / ONEWAY)
After early breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee. Enjoy a pleasant drive to see water falls & gorges. Cherrapunjee – The wettest place on Earth offers roaring water falls, limestone caves, living root bridge, & galore of water & adventure activities. Witness the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls & visit the Mawsmai cave & Thangkharang Park. Return to Shillong. Enroute visit at Shillong Peak. Overnight in Shillong.
DAY 3: SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA
Take a half day city tour of Shillong. Shillong – The ‘Gleneagle of the East’ lies in the center of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The cities own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. The Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids. Butterfly Museum is a storehouse of finest and rarest species of butterflies and moths. Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses & exquisite flowers. The Mini zoo adjacent to the park has about 73 birds, 140 reptiles & mammals. One of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18 hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. Spend the evening in the splendid arena! The State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya. Shillong and its surrounding is dotted with splendid waterfalls cascading down deep valleys forming misty sparks as they break the silence of the surroundings. Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks. Later drive to Kaziranga. Overnight in Kaziranga.
DAY 4: KAZIRANGA
Kaziranga National Park – The World Heritage Site is the oldest park in Assam & is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River. Kaziranga National Park is a natural habitat for conservation of biologically diverse flora & fauna. It is inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses besides sheltering about 15 species of India’s threatened mammals. There are numerous other major wildlife fauna. Morning enjoy Jeep Safari & Elephant Safari early morning at Kaziranga National Park. (Safari charges additional). Day free for leisure including tea garden visits. You may take additional safari in the afternoon. Overnight in Kaziranga
DAY 5: KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI (220 km / 4 hours)
Transfer to Guwahati & sightseeing. Visit Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati Zoo and State museum & in the evening set out on a River cruise to watch the sun go down the Brahmaputra River and see yourself why the river is locally called ‘Luit’- colour of blood. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 6: GUWAHATI LOCAL & DEPARTURE
Morning take a temple tour to Maa Kamakhya Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Sukleshwar Temple. Visit Emporiums for local ethnic products. Drop at Airport / Railway Station Guwahati. Tour ends with sweet Festal memories.
Hotel accommodation on a twin sharing basis.
Breakfast as per hotels’ menu.
All transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary in a non air-conditioned vehicle.
All toll tax, parking fees and driver’s allowances.
All applicable hotel taxes.
Anything not mentioned under ‘Package Inclusions’
All personal expenses, optional tours and extra meals.
Camera fees, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and starters.
Vehicle service on leisure days for sightseeing not included in the itinerary.
Medical and travel insurance.
For all the services contracted, minimum 10% advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before 30 days from commencement of the services. However Festal Tours have right to amend advance amount and payment of balance amount and time of payment
In the event of cancellation of tour / services due to any reason/s we must be informed of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Total Package cost
45 days prior to arrival: 15% of the Total Package cost
15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Total Package cost
07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Total Package cost
Less than 7 days from start of service or No Show: No Refund
Some cancellation and refund policies are out of our tender:
Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy
Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy
Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy
In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Our Liabilities & Limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Law & Jurisdiction
For all complaints, suits, claims or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by Festal Tours, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of Court of Bilaspur (CG).
