Day 01: Leh
Meet and greet at Leh airport and transfer to hotel and check in the hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Night stay in hotel at Leh
Day 02: Leh Local Sightseeing 30 Kms.
After breakfast go to Shanti Stupa & Leh palace. Shanti Stupa: Located on the hilltop at Changspa. The Stupa was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organization, known as ‘The Japanese for World Peace’. The aim behind the construction of the Stupa was to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote World Peace. Leh Palace: Built in the 17th century, it was built as the residential palace for the King Singe Namgyal. Much smaller but resembling the Potala in Lhasa, Leh Palace. Dinner and night stay at Hotel in Leh.
Day 03: Leh to Nubra 125 Km.
After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley leads through KHARDUNG-LA the highest Motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Afternoon visit to Hunder village, Hunder is one of the remote villages in the Ladakh district of India’s northernmost State of Jammu and Kashmir (Kashmir). Lying close to the border between India and Pakistan in the north-western part of Ladakh, the village of Hunder comprises settlers that include Ladakhi and Tibetans. Visit SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional on direct payment basis). Dinner and night stay at Hotel in Nubra.
Day 04: Nubra to Leh 125 Km
After your breakfast at the camp, visit to Diskit Monastery en route to Leh. The Diskit Gompa of Leh Ladakh dates back to the 14th century and owe its inception to Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong-kha-pa. At the heart of Diskit Monastery is an elevated cupola, which stands adorned with a beautiful fresco that illustrates the Tashilhunpo Gompa of Tibet. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Dinner and night stay at Hotel in Leh.
Day 05: Leh to Pangong 134 Km.
After breakfast at your hotel drive to Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake, a highest salt water lake in the World, Shared by two countries India (25%) & China (75%), enjoy the beauty of lake on banks of the lake while appreciating the changing colours of fascinating high altitude lake. This route takes the visitor past the picturesque of some villages,. Today go through Chang-la (18,000 feet / 5,475 M) which despite its great elevation is one of the easier passes, remaining open for much of the year even in winter, apart from periods of actual snowfall. Dinner and night stay in Camp Pangong.
Day 06: Pangong to Leh 134 Km.
Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to Leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Hemis – which is dedicated to Padmasambhava, what a visitor can observes a series of scenes in which the lamas, robed in gowns of rich, brightly colour brocade and sporting masks sometimes bizarrely hideous, parade in solemn dance and mime around the huge flag pole in the center of the courtyard to the plaintive melody of the Shawn. Overnight stay at Hotel in Leh
Day 07: Leh – Sarchu
After breakfast transfer to Sarchu. Check into hotel nights stay at Sarchu.
Day 08: Sarchu – Manali
After breakfast check out hotel and travel to Manali via Rohtang pass. Rohtang Pass – The majesty of the mountains and the glaciers can be seen at their best. After enjoying this snowy heaven. Take a sledge ride down the slopes & try luck by climbing the little snow hills. On descending to Manali, halt at the Rahala falls. The Magnificent views and natural beauty are a never-ending source of delight. Also halt at Marhi, Rahala falls, Nehru Kund. Return to hotel and night stay in Manali.
Please Note: Rohtang pass is 51 Kms away from Manali. This Pass is not accessible for almost 8 months in a year as it is covered by snow. We generally visit the snow point on Rohtang road, which has been permitted by the Border security Force. (Rohtang Pass closed on Tuesday)
Day 09: Manali Local
After breakfast, drive closer to the panoramic view of Manali .Visit local sightseeing of Manali “HADIMBA TEMPLE” Built in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway . “CLUB HOUSE” The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.” Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and “VASHIST” Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama. Explore the surroundings with scenic view all around of your own. In the evening return back to hotel.
Day 10: Manali – Shimla
After breakfast proceed to Shimla. En-route passes by Sundernagar Lake, Pandoh Dam, Beas River, Sutlej River, Beas Sutlej Link Project, and Kullu Valley. Visit Shawl Factory at Kullu. Arrive at Manali in the evening. Check in to hotel and night stay at hotel in Manali.
Day 11: Shimla – Kufri – Shimla
After breakfast step into the Queen of Hills Shimla with the grandeur of Himalayas. Enjoy local sight seeing of Shimla .Visit KUFRI, India’s one of the best holiday paradise Kufri in Shimla is beautifully tucked on an altitude of 2,622 meter. The place is a tourist hotspot for its awesome scenic and sports activities. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town – “THE MALL& THE RIDGE” This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Shimla’s landmarks – the neo- Gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo – Tudor library building – are worth seeing. Stay at night in hotel at Shimla.
Day 12: Shimla – Drop at Railway Station
After breakfast drop at Railway Station Shimla. Tour ends with sweet memories of Festal Tours.
Hotel accommodation on a twin sharing basis.
Breakfast as per hotels’ menu.
All transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary in a non air-conditioned vehicle.
All toll tax, parking fees and driver’s allowances.
All applicable hotel taxes.
Anything not mentioned under ‘Package Inclusions’
All personal expenses, optional tours and extra meals.
Camera fees, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and starters.
Vehicle service on leisure days for sightseeing not included in the itinerary.
Medical and travel insurance.
For all the services contracted, minimum 10% advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before 30 days from commencement of the services. However Festal Tours have right to amend advance amount and payment of balance amount and time of payment
In the event of cancellation of tour / services due to any reason/s we must be informed of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Total Package cost
45 days prior to arrival: 15% of the Total Package cost
15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Total Package cost
07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Total Package cost
Less than 7 days from start of service or No Show: No Refund
Some cancellation and refund policies are out of our tender:
Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy
Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy
Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines company policy
In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).
In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Our Liabilities & Limitations:
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges – by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Law & Jurisdiction
For all complaints, suits, claims or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by Festal Tours, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of Court of Bilaspur (CG).
